We were ready to go on the 8th of May 2021 for the delivery of our pacer train.
It turned up with its new paint job, all of us a Platform 1 were excited.
And was carefully put in its place for the lift. The platform for the massive crane began to be built.
Then unfortunately it was discovered that a part of the platform for the crane to sit on was the wrong specification. After a long deliberation it was decided to postpone the lift of the train.
Watch this space for when the next lift will take place.
Thank you to all the people involved from the truck drivers, crane drivers, ground crew, engineers, lighting company, police, supporters, volunteers, trustees and staff.

No other Toes were Injured.
The groundwork had already been done as you can see by the pictures. We were ready for the Ready-Mix concrete to be delivered.
Just three of us using barrows to carry the concrete 60 – 70 metres to where we needed to pour and two spreaders to distribute it evenly.
Each Wheelbarrow weighed about 80-90 kgs.
In the pictures you can even see our Project leader getting his hands dirty and at the same time breaking his toe. (Don’t worry he does it all the time)
Now we wait for the concrete to set properly, whilst we and our volunteers rest our aching muscles.
